Who is Fame Nickles?

 

Toronto based Zimbabwean artist Fame Nickles is no new act. With underground releases over the years, he has taken his time and built an arsenal of songs that cover a wide range of topics. 

 

Born in Harare, Zimbabwe, Fame Nickles relocated to Toronto during the dawn of 90’s Hip-Hop. Taking the music route from a young age, Fame Nickles’ expression of Hip-Hop grew from authentic influences. Capturing and delivering the true spirit of Rap, he touches on all topics that are relevant to everyone in society. In a time where a rapper’s image and financial status attract fans more than lyrics and creative production - Fame Nickles has refused to dumb it down.

 

Embarking on a three-mixtape project titled “War Chronicles”, he emerged into the Hip-Hop scene with the first instalment “Battle Scars” in 2009. A mixtape that delivered over twenty songs, it etched the Fame Nickles name and brand in the underground mixtape scene. Fast Forward to 2011, the series’ second instalment “Battle Plans” arrives with better elements that command attention from every listener in the “Urban” section of genres. Featuring songs that cater to different tastes, Fame Nickles’ aptitude is put to the test, which he flawlessly passes - when he executes each style in true Nickles’ fashion…
